moving day
The boat is being moved from the Old Man's boatyard in Port Jefferson to Yacht Services in Amityville. I am glad that this is getting done before I get back to NY because then once I get back I can just hop down the road and hammer away at the work list. I also like Yacht Services because they leave you alone as much as you want. You can talk to the boatyard guys as much or as litte as you want, and they don't harass or pester you about your work, tools, etc. AND when I had Persuasion, they let me row across the creek (to get to the island where they kept the small boats) in the middle of the winter, in ice and snow and freezingness.

project: name change, no name change
I have decided to keep the name of the boat Redwing. And who knows I may switch back to changing it, but when we did committee on Jack's boat the other day one of the old salts came by and asked how Redwing was doing, and it just seemed so normal for folks to be calling the boat by that name that it seemed unnatural to change it.
